Riley Littman Eportfolio
Welcome to my ePortfolio, where I showcase my academic growth, communication skills, and the projects that have shaped my experience as a Communication Studies major. I focus on making communication clear, meaningful, and relatable—whether through writing, public speaking, or collaborative work. My academic experiences, hands-on projects, and everyday interactions have shaped who I am as a communicator and the strengths I bring into professional settings.
I’ve learned through my Communication Studies courses that effective communication is really about understanding people. My work in classes, group projects, and real-life situations has helped me become someone who listens well, works well with others, and explains ideas clearly. I focus on being relatable, organized, and easy to work with, whether I’m writing, speaking, or collaborating. These skills shape how I approach every project and how I hope to contribute in a professional setting.

Communication Strengths

1
Relationship-Building & Interpersonal Communication
Through courses like Interpersonal Communication and Pop Culture Studies, I learned how people create meaning, manage conflict, and form connections. These classes strengthened my ability to read situations, communicate effectively in teams, and build positive relationships in professional environments.
2
Leadership & Collaboration
Group projects in COM and APR courses taught me how to guide discussions, delegate tasks, and contribute to a shared goal. I’ve learned to communicate openly, stay organized, and support teammates' skills that translate directly into leadership and workplace collaboration.
3
Cultural Awareness & Inclusive Communication
In classes like Intercultural Communication, I studied how identity, culture, and experience shape the way people interpret messages. This understanding helps me approach communication with awareness and respect, ensuring that I can connect with diverse audiences in professional settings.

Capstone Project Overview
My Capstone Project explores the question: How do lifestyle influencers communicate authenticity and build trust with their audiences? I used Goffman’s self-presentation theory and Cooley’s looking-glass self to examine how influencers create identity online and how audiences interpret these performances. This project reflects my ability to apply communication theory, analyze real media, and connect academic concepts to real-world communication.
